In Monti, in the heart of Lunigiana, the Sagra delle Focaccette enlivens Piazza della Pieve for three autumn weekends. This much-loved tradition attracts hundreds of people every year to taste the local specialty: focaccette, fried dough sheets served hot with cured meats, cheeses, or hazelnut cream.
In addition to focaccette, the stalls offer first courses of Lunigiana cuisine, apple fritters, and other autumn treats. All tables are covered, allowing you to eat in company even on cooler evenings, accompanied by music and the village festival atmosphere.
The sagra is the highlight of the Festa d'Autunno di Monti, which celebrates the flavors and colors of the season with a program combining gastronomy and entertainment.
