The sanctuary of Santa Maria de Sauccu, whose origins date back to 1122, is the heart of one of the most heartfelt festivals in the Marghine region. Traditionally, the peak days fall between September 7 and 17, with very particular rites accompanying the departure and return of the procession. For the 2026 edition, the organizing committee enlivens the location from August 24 to September 24, offering moments of gathering and initiatives open to the entire community. The municipal guesthouse becomes the reference point for the committee's activities.
Religious Procession in honor of Sant'Ignazio da Laconi
Norbello (OR)
The traditional religious procession in honor of Sant'Ignazio da Laconi takes place in Norbello on September 3 and 19, 2026, starting from the Church of SS Quirico and Giulitta. The procession goes through the main streets of the town to the Novenario Campestre, accompanied by horsemen and the spontaneous group of "Fucilieri" who fire blank shots with hunting rifles, according to local tradition. The procession is held in the afternoon, from approximately 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

The Festa Manna di Gaddaura, now in its 798th edition, is a traditional celebration in honor of Nostra Signora di Locosantu held in Luogosanto. The program includes civil and religious events on September 3, 5, 7, 8, 9, and 15, 2026, with religious processions starting from different points in the town (Piazza San Quirico, Giardino della Colonna Mariana, Piazza della Basilica). To ensure safe conduct, parking and traffic bans are established on the streets affected by the events, with times varying by day.

From 7 to 15 September 2026, in Luogosanto, the Festa Manna di Gaddura takes place in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Luogosanto, now in its 798th edition. The event, organized by the Comitato Fidali Festa Manna, includes religious moments, shows and a lottery with the draw on 15 September. The event is held in Piazza Incoronazione and other streets of the town.

The traditional festivities in honor of Saint Mark the Evangelist will be held in Lei from 12 to 15 September 2026. The program includes on Saturday 12 September a parade of folk groups and horsemen through the streets of the center, starting from Piazza Chiesa. On Sunday 13 September, the procession with the statue of the Saint will accompany the horsemen along a route that ends in Piazza Chiesa, where Holy Mass will be celebrated in the Parish Church of San Pietro. During the days, performances by artists and dances in the square are also planned.
