76th National Day for the Victims of Workplace Accidents
Chiesa di San Pio X, Iglesias
Iglesias hosts on Sunday, October 11, 2026, the 76th National Day for the Victims of Workplace Accidents, promoted by ANMIL. It is an event that combines remembrance and civic commitment: citizens, institutions, and workers' representatives gather to honor those who lost their lives or health in the workplace. The morning begins at 9 with the laying of a laurel wreath and the blessing of the Commemorative Plaque for those who died at work. This is followed by the Holy Mass in suffrage at the Church of San Pio X, presided over by the Bishop, and a conference with the Mayor, the ANMIL Territorial President, and representatives from INAIL, trade unions, and local associations. Participating is a concrete gesture to keep attention high on workplace safety. Admission is free, and the entire community is invited.
